Over the past three decades, Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) has supported our community through time, resources and cash donations, both to organizations SA identifies through our continuing relationships with the community, and organizations that employees find meaningful to them. SA donates facilities and materials to select organizations to further their mission. For example, SA sponsored a “packing party” in-house for the Comfort Cases organization. Additionally, SA hosts fundraisers during international disasters working with trusted partners like the Red Cross. Annually, SA organizes employees to support the Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery. One of our most fun charitable events is our annual Amazing Race to support Homeward Trails. SA’s Amazing Race is a scavenger hunt across the DC metropolitan area. Teams of four are assembled from SA employees, SA alum, family and friends. Each year a theme is selected and clues are given that take each team from one location to the next.
SA takes pride in giving back to our employees and our community. In 2016, we held a 5k challenge for the entire SA family. The objective was to promote health and fitness among our team members and offer motivation by pledging to support the causes that are important to them. If an employee ran or walked a 5K, we donated $250 to a charity of their choice. If over half our population (over 100 employees) completed a 5K, SA doubled the donation to each charity. As an additional incentive, each employee to complete the 5K received a custom SA 5k t-shirt and an Amazon gift card. To ensure friends and family were included, we sponsored 3 5Ks throughout the year and provided the custom t-shirt to all participants. All employees’ children that completed a 5K received a t-shirt regardless if it was an SA sponsored 5K. It was a great way to have some fun for a good cause. Ultimately we had 103 employees participate and we raised more than $50,000 for charities like St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Team USA Fund, The American Lung Association, K9s for Warriors and more. It feels good to be able to support our team in making a difference in the community.
Recently, SA coordinated an effort to help Comfort Cases, a local non-profit organization out of Gaithersburg, MD that provides children ages 0-18 who are in the foster care system with a bag filled with essential needs like toiletries, pajamas, activities and other items for children in foster care. SA and SA employees donated these items for foster children to bring to their new homes and we packed them up to help ease the often difficult transition these kids face. The entire team showed great enthusiasm for giving back to their community; it’s extremely encouraging to work with such a caring group of people.
